BACKGROUND

Jemma joined Hazelton Law as a solicitor in November 2023, having previously worked for another firm of lawyers in general dispute matters. Jemma is expanding her experience in a range of construction law matters, including: 

• Addressing a spectrum of construction-related claims, including payment disputes, delays, contract variations, workmanship concerns, and a wide array of design and construction issues.
• Drafting and reviewing construction contracts, mostly related to NZS3910, with some bespoke contracts. Jemma worked for ANZ Bank for 2 years where she developed an eye for detail in non-contentious documentation.
• Providing general advice to residential and commercial contractors on matters arising during the construction cycle.
